Attending: your visit
Respond to an offer and show your pass
An offer, a summons, and a pass are different stages. An offer asks you to respond to a waitlist opening. A summons tells you to join the line. A pass is the code you show staff at the door.
Respond to a waitlist offer
Offer response periods are set for the event. The offer message shows your response deadline; choose an action before that time or the offer may expire.
Open the event page and use the action that matches your decision:
- Yes, I'm coming accepts the offer and summons you.
- Not right now keeps you on the waitlist while it remains open. If the waitlist has closed, declining ends your participation instead.
- I need more time may appear when the event allows an extension and you still have one available.
Opening an accept or decline link does not make that choice. It only opens the event page and explains the action; press the matching button there. For a party offer, see the group permissions in Go together with a party.
When you've been summoned
Open Show my code on the event page from the organizer's event link. Present the QR code at the door. If it will not scan, the page shows a code staff can type instead. Keep your pass private and show it to event staff at the entrance.
A booked arrival window is not itself a pass. A waitlist offer is not a pass either; accept it first. In a party booking, each summoned attendee shows their own code.
The arrival deadline is calculated in the event's time zone and is shown on the pass screen. If you are summoned and the page offers I'm on the way, it tells the organizers you are coming; it also extends the deadline if an extension remains. I need more time extends the deadline when an extension remains. These controls depend on the event's settings and are not offered for a party booking.
If the arrival deadline has passed
The app may release your spot at the deadline. A lapsed deadline does not automatically invalidate the pass: the code stays valid, but admission is not guaranteed. Show the code and ask event staff to decide. If the event has closed, its passes are no longer valid.
