Attending: get started
Manage notification channels
Choose at least one way QueueKat can try to reach you about a booking, a
waitlist offer, or an arrival deadline. Set it up in Account settings
(/users/settings) on the QueueKat site for that organization. Some options
may not be available on every site.
Choose and save a channel
Each channel has its own setup on the Notifications section of Account settings:
- Email: use your account email or enter another email address, then save. Your account email is the default when you have not configured a different email destination.
- Text message: enter a phone number, agree to the text-message consent, and save. Enter the verification code sent to that number; until it is confirmed, the app cannot use that number for notifications.
- Telegram: choose Connect Telegram, open the bot, press Start, and return to settings.
- Discord: choose Connect Discord and authorize the connection.
Turn on Use this channel and save the channel's settings. The app requires at least one usable channel, so you cannot switch off or remove the last one. SMS consent can be withdrawn by replying STOP; START opts in again and HELP requests help.
Preferences apply to this account at this organization; they are not per-event. If you attend events through another organization, configure that organization's account separately. For sign-in help, see Sign in to your organization's QueueKat site.
Test a channel and read its history
Use Send a test message when that action is shown. If you do not receive it, check that the address or connected account is correct. Open Recent delivery history on a channel to review its latest attempts.
The app records attempts on each channel and the outcomes when they are reported. History can say Sent, Failed, Delivered, or Not delivered. Check the event page for your current booking or offer status.
Troubleshooting
- If an offer may have been missed, open the event page and check what actions are still available; do not rely only on a notification.
- If text messages are off or pending, confirm consent and enter the latest verification code. An unverified number cannot receive queue notifications.
- If a connected channel shows Failed or Not delivered, follow the explanation in its history, correct or reconnect the destination, and use a test message if available.
